AV Control System Programmer/Engineer

THE ROLE

We are looking for an additional control system programmer to join our team. The role will cover a wide range of activities within the team, ensuring the projects control of a system joins all the areas of operation into one fully functioning solution. You will need to be a good communicator and work as part of a team, ensuring the clients brief is met.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Create GUI’s, audio DSP programs and control system programs for assigned projects.
  • Support the engineering and design teams to ensure fully installed systems are ready and capable of operating your control solutions.
  • Take an active role in the preparation, installation, testing and commissioning of the systems.
  • As part of your role, you need to stay up to date on trends in technology, focusing on control capabilities within the AV world.
  • Actively support the documentation of systems, programming history revisions and site technical records.
  • Provide site support for programming changes on client’s sites during maintenance updates.
  • Provide client user training for completed systems.

SKILL SET

  • Minimum of 3 Years programming system experience
  • Excellent experience and understanding of all aspects of AV system operation.
  • Min Crestron CTI-P201, preferred CTI-P301
  • QSYS Level 1and 2 Training along with Q-SYS Control 101 and 201
  • Dante level 1 and 2 (minimum)
  • Excellent understanding and experience of network design and implementation
  • Knowledge of other manufacturers programming an advantage (AMX, Extron etc)
  • Knowledge & experience of JSON, HTML5, CSS, C# desirable

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in control system programming, creation of user interfaces and providing a clear creative control environment for complex audiovisual systems. There will be excellent industry and manufacturer led training on offer for candidates with the enthusiasm to succeed in this role. A good all-round experience of installed AV systems is essential, with a proven track record of control system design, implementation, and commissioning.
